Hancock County Child Support Services

Child support payments in Illinois are processed through a structured system designed to ensure accurate tracking and timely disbursement. Child support in Illinois is managed collaboratively by the Illinois State Disbursement Unit (ILSDU) and the local Circuit Clerk.

The Illinois State Disbursement Unit (ILSDU) processes all payments received from employers and non-custodial parents via an Order for Income Withholding or cases involving the Department of Healthcare & Family Services (HFS).

The Circuit Clerk maintains the official payment history for all Hancock County cases and directly collects/disburses child support only when there is no withholding order and HFS is not involved.

Making Child Support Payments

If your case requires payments through the ILSDU, the Circuit Clerk’s Office cannot accept your payments. You must send them directly to the state payment processing center.
